Every ceremony is important to me. I take as much time and attention to detail as if I was planning a wedding ceremony.

Re-Affirmation/Renewal of Vows Ceremony

This ceremony re-affirms the decision taken to be husband and wife. You might want to do it differently this time!
As with a wedding ceremony I encourage you to write your own vows and include your children and special rituals if you wish.

Commitment Ceremonies

Some couples choose not to marry. A commitment ceremony allows couples to say they belong to each other and are in a loving relationship. It is often used by same sex couples but it can be a very moving ceremony for any couple who have deep and long lasting bond they wish to celebrate with a ceremony in front of family and friends.
I have ceremony examples that are as meaningful as a wedding ceremony.

Naming Ceremonies

A naming ceremony welcomes the child into the family and bestows the name by which he or she will be known for the rest of their life.
I encourage the inclusion of family members and close friends in the ceremony as they a part of the child’s wider circle of love and care.
I do not conduct a naming ceremony in the middle of a BBQ or party. This ceremony has importance and meaning to the family and it is important to have everybody’s attention. I will conduct the ceremony before the party starts.

Farewells

A gathering of family and friends to remember a loved one can form a special part of celebrating someone’s life. It can be a very personal way of saying farewell. Farewells are often used to scatter the ashes and are a chance for those who remain to remember without the formality of a funeral service.
Farewells are for the living to start the healing process.

Pet Farewells

As someone who has loved and lost dogs and cats I understand the loss of the faithful companion. To mark the passing of a companion animal reflects the important place they occupy in our lives. A simple ceremony, perhaps including a tree planting or placing a memorial plaque can be comforting to many pet owners.
